anyone have diamond pleated seats?

hey guys.  Talking to my dad and a guy with a red 73 chally a while back at the local MOPAR meeting and the guy had diamond pleated seats in his challenger. Dad said in his old one, he had those too.  According to them, it was "cool" back in the day to have diamond pleated upholstery, but now they both agreed they didn't like it haha.  As soon as the guy got the money, he was changing it back to original.  Idk, I'm a young guy, and I don't know how the views of certain car trends have changed over the years, but I kinda digged the look of diamond pleated seats, if its in the right car.  Mine will get reupholstered eventually and more than likely will be done original, btw. Wondering if anybody was rocking the diamond pleats now? Love to see some pics!

That's actually done in a lot of high end cars these days... Astin Martin's, Bently's etc.

Although it's usually in Black alcantra or top-grain leather. Definitely not crushed velvet. Lol.

If you really want to go super 70's, you'd need the little velvet-covered buttons where the diamonds intersect. :-)
