""""BTW, my set up has an aluminum fuel rail that connects to the fuel inlets, and to a hard line at the back of the motor.  It may be easier than piecing together multiple lines.  I will check it in the future"""""

sounds like it is the aluminum crush washer setup..thats the style i 1st tried to use and could not stop it from weeping gas..i was told to keep tightning the bolt but 45 ft lbs of torque on pot metal,,all i seen was stripped  $$$$...thats why i switched to my current setup..plus u have all your linkage to deal with on the drivers side..BTW,AN lines R easy..hard lines R not..

i get lucky every now and then!there probably a better investment than some stocks out there.% wise.pretty rare, was going to pleasanton ca this weekend for the goodguys show swap but looks like its going to be rained out,,will finish installing the promax center metering block and final tune on the carbs, almost ready to come off the jack stands for back road tuning.. looking forward to see the diff in driveability between the mushy stock carbs and the crisp response of these..should be real close with the tune,,

recieved the 2nd set today,,for future use,,they look good!installed the promax metering block in the center carb..not exactly a bolt in item.and they tell u that from the beginning.have to assume all other blocks would be the same for these carbs.. had to shave some material out of the power valve well because the valve hit the boss when installed, and had to install a plug in one passage in the main body to plug the dristributor vacuum adv hole..

alot of fine very careful work to install..tomorrow after noon the final tune will be put on it..bring on the dry weather, ready to run some gas thru this 440..

Awesome , I need to get my car tuned !!

updated 6/10/2012,,
took the car to capitola rod and custom classic car show this weekend.,,won sponsors choice award today,,.been out test driving the new setup,,,WOW,,throttle response is instant,,secondarys r at my command!! a distant memory of how the stock vacuum pods work..it makes those 275/60/15's bark,or smoke until it starts to go sideways on rounded peak type country roads..20 degrees initial, 34 total, static,, +10 vacuum for idle.i can wing the throttle like a small block.comp cams 555 lift,306 duration,262 @50,,106 centerline.1400 rpm idle...slight pinging with 91 pump gas at freeway speeds.under load when accerelating.heavy foot.forged pistons so not too worried about it...all iron motor,,2.14/1.81..906 castings.ported under the valves...cruises really nice at 65/70..3.55 gears..will bounce to a 100 with just a little outboard tickle..no lag/hesitation/cough,,motor snarls with the out board's ingaged  playing with ride heights,,dropped the car 1 " all corners,,going to drop the fronts another 1/4"",,go from there..

its a mover!!!!

temps hit 195+ on the freeway pulling 80+mph slight up hill grade, ambient temp was 85,160 thermostat hi flow mr gasket #4366..3 core copper factory style rad,,dropped back down to 180 once of the freeway..acceptable..
