Sam Posey
« on: May 27, 2012 - 06:55:01 PM »
I went to the Trans Am race at Limerock park yesterday and was suprised Sam Posey was there singing autographs. It was pretty cool.
I was suprised no one has built a Challenger to compete with the Mustangs and Camaro's.
I did post some pictures at  http://www.flickr.com/photos/26318984@N02/

That is neat. Did you get an autograph?

No he was just finishing up when I got there and I really had nothing for him to sign. I wish I knew ahead of time I would have brought a diecast or a picture of his Challenger.

I would have had him sign my hand. Might have been lucky

It's really too bad there is not a challenger in the line up.

Thanks for the pic link.

Too bad you didn't get a chance to get posey's autograph.

Very cool!

I'd have had him sign just about anything I had on me! Cash in my wallet, shirt on my back, whatever!  :grinyes:

As far as the Challenger, it's just BIG. Even in road form I think it would still be a big heavy car compared to the Camaro's and Mustang's.

Maybe when the new 'Cuda comes out?  :naughty:

Before I went full time into stock cars I ran some autocross's and road races in a Mustang. I keep seeing that new Challenger body on ebay and keep thinking that would make a cool road racing car. But I agree is big and heavy.

Here's a couple picture of Posey's 77 car I took a few years ago at the Monterey Historics Race at Laguna Seca.  The best race every year is the Trans Am cars, most of the other groups just do an agressive parade.
