I didn't read the story but just from the looks of the car I have a similar story. I came across a 1963 Corvette Roadster with a hard top, fully optioned, about 5 years ago in Rio Grande, NJ. He is the 2nd owner and bought it with 4k miles on it. He lost interest in it, got overweight and couldn't get in it to drive it anymore. Long story short his son didn't want it and he just let it sit outside un-covered at the Jersey shore. It now sits about 6 inches into the ground. I ran the numbers and it is well optioned. He has all kinds of crap stored in it also. I asked if he would ever get rid of it and he said not right now. Well when? It is probably to late as it is.
