If you use oxy/acetylene then you use a rosebud tip instead of a pencil tip. Eastwood
also sells a diffuser for the torches that works nicely.

Pencil tip torch is ideal from what I learned. Many ideas on what works best of course.
There's alot of videos on youtube for leadwork.
