Killed mustang gt
« on: May 16, 2012 - 06:01:41 PM »
In the challenger today and a a gt mustang with magnuson tvs stickers pulled up next to me at about 45mph. He got on it and got the jump on me but I stomped on it and pulled ahead immediately and stayed there till about 80. Then I ran out of gear and slowed down. He was shocked that I beat him, are those supercharged? I Woop up on my girlfriends 2010 challenger rt all the time but didn't expect myself to be killing supercharged mustangs!! I guess my 440 has more go than I realize at times  :burnout:

The regular GT Mustangs are not supercharged.  Depending on the year, if it was stock, it was probably around 300-325 hp, less if it's an older model.  The new 5.0 liter GTs are at 400 hp, also not supercharged.  Only the GT500's are supercharged, 500 hp or more.  Unless your 440 is built pretty strong, you'd have a tough time beating one of those.

Still - nice kill!

It was a GT (4.6 model) with magnuson tvs stickers on the fenders, so i just assumed it had a aftermarket supercharger based upon a google search on what magnuson is.  My motor is pretty stout but the 3.91 rear really doesn't help me on highway speeds.  The R/T challenger I've raced several times has long tube headers, an exhaust, intake and a tune and  I still whip her butt pretty good.  Mine isn't exactly track worthy so I have no idea what kind of times it would run

If he was dumb enough to put the stickers on the car thinking it made it as fast as having a supercharger he deserved  to get spanked! Nice kill!    :2thumbs:
