thanks shadango for posting the info about not having '72 challengers for the dealership.
i've been back and forth with Ed about my '72. he want's it for inside the dealership display
but i need period correct tires. i've located a set of bias ply tires that i can "borrow" and i'm
going to get a set of road wheels on tuesday. so it looks like this is actually gonna happen.  :woohoo:
i guess i'm bringing 2 cars this year.

Did you tell the guy who told you about the need?  Maybe I'll get an extra chance at the hemi engine giveaway for solving his problem for him.....

Joking of course.

Glad it worked out and that IS special for you!  Sounds like your car deserves to be inside!

the rims turned out to be a bust. 3 out of 4 of the rims had rust and metal missing in the lug holes.  :stomp: and the guy said they were in great shape.

it looks like my car's gonna have rallye's on it in the display, if it's ok with them. i just don't have time to hunt down another set of road wheels.

When I received my paperwork , I too was registered for dealership area. I called and spoke with Ed and he said any stock class 72 was automatically entered for the dealership area.  But to be in the building you have to have bias ply tires on your car, ie: no radials.  No dice for me, would rather just park on the showfield any how and come and go as I please. as opposed to parking on the stones outside the dealership building .  He said to just go to goody bag pickup area and change registration.

as every minute ticks forward, this is turning into the biggest nightmare for me. what was suppose to
be a fun relaxed weekend is now filled with headaches and stress. between all the B.S. i'm going
through with getting the rims and bias ply tires, to now, i lost my driver for the car for the weekend.
right now, i don't know how i'm gonna get the '72 out there and back. i have a phone call to make
tomorrow morning and if that don't work out, it looks like the car's staying home.
