Hi Guys!
Just wanted to stop by and add some information... That's actually my EcoBoost Flex! (with a couple of GoPro cameras attached! LOL!)
Anyways, both the Camaro and the Flex are modded.... Looking at Marty's sig from Camaro5 it says:
"Borla S-Type cat-back, Kooks LTH (catted mids), Rotofab CAI, MGW Short throw w/composite race knob, 4.10 rear, Livernois Motorsports 2c cam kit + tune: 457 rwhp/421 rwtq"
As for me its:
"Livernois Stage 4+ - MRT Eco-Flow Exhaust - AlkyControl - 359 WHP / 397 WTQ"
Let me say, last week at Milan was HOT!!! That was the hottest I have ever run it! DA was almost 3900! That's crazy for us flatlanders here in lower Michigan!!! Everyone's time were off at least a full 1/2 second or MORE! Mine were off about .6 of a second...
Ok, here is the time slip from our run: (Marty's on the left, I'm on the right)
As you can see part of the reason the Flex got out front so quick is I had a better reaction time (RT). RT is NOT included however in the Elapsed Time (ET). The AWD also let me get a pretty descent 60', while Marty was still getting the feel of launching his car at a track... so right there at the 60' mark I am about a 1/2 second ahead which is HUGE, which is why it looks like I am so far out in front... HOWEVER once Marty got going, his Camaro took off like a rocket ship and reeled me in! Got to remember the Flex with driver tips the scales at 5185, so easily a 1,000 pounds heavier than Marty's Camaro! And then there is the aerodynamics!! Flexes are affectionately called Bricks for good reason! Not only do they look like one, they are as aerodynamic as one... kind of like running down the track holding a sheet of plywood! LOL!
I have no doubt if Marty, works on the his launch, get's that 60' down below 2.0 seconds, we get some nice COLD AIR this Fall, and get some good traction, his car will definitely be LOW 12s!! (BTW, the Flex has gone 12.95 @ 107 MPH in GOOD AIR!!! LOL)
Oh... and if you look at the time slip you'll see Marty crossed the stripe .03 second ahead of me!!!! And this is what .03 second looks like!
