'71 Cuda Grill Color Question???

What would be the exact stock color of the 71 Cuda grill? 

Body paint color?

All grey?

Body color with grey on sides? 

Wondering what is the true factory method?  Thanks.

Probably all argent silver.   I got a 70 so maybe someone more in the know can chime in.

There were certain colors that got a body colored grill.  I don't know if it was an option or if those colors automatically got a colored grill.  Here's a 71 with a correctly painted body colored grill.

If yours was argent, the only place that I know sells the correct stuff is Rodger Gibson Restorations.

If the car had a body colored grill, the lower valance insert was body color.  If the grill was argent, the insert was gray.  What color is your lower valance insert?

Thanks!!!  I am actually converting my redline 2012 Challenger SRT-8 into a 'Cuda and I always wondered about the grill colors. 

I have seen both all silver and color coded like the one you show.  Interestingly, whenever I see a what appears to be a slant six or 318 car or just a very plain 'Cuda it seems to always have an all silver grill, but when I see a 'Cuda with a shaker hood it always seems to be color coded with the car.   

Anyway, since I am going with a shaker hood I am going to do it identical to your picture you shared.  Thanks very much!

only Cudas could get a body paint colored grille. And only this colors: FJ6, GY3, FC7, GW3 , EV2, GB5, GF7, GK6 and FE5.
Barracudas and Gran Coupe grilles were only available in argent silver.
