Oil pan for my 360 have a couple questions
« on: July 11, 2012 - 09:47:41 PM »
The shop where my engine is being done discovered a JB weld repair on my oil pan rather than weld it correctly I would rather just buy a new one. I know Milodon sells this one http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MIL-30755/?rtype=10 and then there is this one from Summit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G3536/. Anyone use the Summit pan? I like the price but don`t want it if it fits like crap.

My main question is when you read the specs on both pans it says stroker clearanced "NO" will I have clearance issues with these pans since I am going with a stroker motor? If so what oil pan will work?

I have never used the Summit pans but they look OK , the clearance problem should be with the windage tray & pick up tube if there is any problem at all !!

No windage tray comes with this pan is one even necessary? I didn`t plan on using one.

Nice pan but that is a bit too much for me and I would prefer a stock looking pan if possible, anyone know for sure if clearance is an issue on a stroker with a stock type pan?

The windage tray is attached to the main caps & sits inside the oil pan & is worth using as it will free up 15 hp or so

I put a Kevco pan on my cuda and it fit good, they have a website and tech help to tell you what you need.
