Getting to the wiper switch

How do you get in there to look at your wiper switch.  Do you have to pull the dash off, or is there some trick to it that I haven't figured out?  :clueless:

The 3/4 switch panel comes off. 
First remove the light bar...I recommend putting a towel on the dash pad and just lifting the light bar up there while still connected (there should be enough slack in the wires)
Then take a piece of blue painter's tape on the vertical seam between the speedo and switch panel.  put it on the speedo side..this will prevent scratches.
Remove the 4 screws which hold the switch panel in.  You should be able to wiggle it away from the dash enough to disconnect the wires in the back.
The wires have large strangely shaped connectors so you don't have to worry about putting them back on wrong.

where are the screws at that hold on the switch panel?  I have a rallye dash if that matters.  Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough for the screws

Two of them are at the top, under the light bar.  The other 2 are in the bottom near the heater controls.

Here are the lower 2 screws:



The upper 2 you can't see because the light bar covers them.  It's pretty clear once you pull the bar, how to remove them.  If you can't figure it out post here and I'll see if I can't remove mine and get some more pictures.

well I got to the wiper switch.  Everything seemed fine.  I took the connector off and cleaned both it and the switch. Still nothing. I put a new motor on a while back and the wipers would work half the time.  When they would work, they were sluggish to start, and then would get going.  Then, they just quit all together.  I can run a wire from the positive end of the battery to one of the motor wires and will work a little bit, so I figure its is the switch?  Is there any diagrams on this...maybe I'm not grounding good at the switch?

You should probably get in touch with Kim at Passion4Mopars from everything I've seen they are the go to source for wiper issues.  You can find there thread here:

You said you replaced the motor?  I know the different motors don't interchange easily.  Maybe the motor you purchased is not the same as what you had?

Sounds like a bad ground connection. Try running a temp wire from the neg. battery post to the motor housing.
If I cant fix it, it's broke
