Newberry, MI: Cruise Night and Show Pictures 7/20-21
« on: July 26, 2012 - 11:17:00 AM »
Newberry, MI were holding their annual cruise night and car show last weekend, since we only live about 45 miles away from there (never have been to either the cruise or show  :o) we decided to take the Charger and Cuda out. Friday was the cruise night, which was the longest organized cruise I have ever been apart of, lasted a little over two hours. There were about 50 cars involved in the cruise and 60 cars involved with the show downtown on Saturday. Good thing my Dad was there with the camera, because I always forget it .

Cruise Route: ~130 miles. Headed out of Newberry, passed through a camp ground where we stopped to bother the campers ( :stirpot:  :roflsmiley:), then headed south through the town of Curtis to US-2, then headed east for a few miles and turned north through Engadine and returned to Newberry.

Show Notes: Was a rather warm day, got to talk to a few of the other mopar owners. Someone donated a 70something dodge pickup, 318, to have all of the oil/coolant drained and then sold time blocks for charity so people to guess how long the motor would run until it died  :roflsmiley:. Believe it was 2 minutes, 17 seconds, kind of was a fun thing to add to the show. AAR got 2nd place in the stock muscle car class to a 69 or 70 Convertible Boss 302  :faint:.
