Dodge Country From NJ
« on: February 20, 2013 - 12:01:07 PM »
Hi,Been a Mopar enthusiast since the 1960's.I just joined out of my ongoing love of the best muscle cars ever built.Mopars are our family tradition, owning 5, myself handing it down to my 2 sons who are 39 & 35.I am 2nd owner of a V code 70 Challenger R/T SE C7 4 spd car I bought for my wife in 1974.I knew original owner who had ordered it just to race.It came with the T/A glass hood special ordered by him.I picked it up after it sat for a couple years. We continue to drive it w/6ok original miles and keep it in vint. cond.I am also original owner of a 70 Charger R/T SE v code B5 4 spd w 49K original miles. This car I raced thru the 70's and it is in the same set up as it was back then. This I drive as much as time allows. It recently was in my daughters wedding in Sept which I drove her to the church, then she & her husband drove away with just married on the rear window.Everyone loved it.My 3rd car is a 69 coronet L code Y1 auto w/an added 6 pack set up.This I picked up in the 90's.My sons cars are  68 charger R/T H code Q5 4spd & 69 charger R/T L code V2 auto.
A little historical note I owned and operated one of the 1st restoration shops in NJ from 1978 thru 1986.It was called EASTERN CARRIAGES located in Beverly. We specialized in complete Mopar restorations and high performance work at a time when these cars were abundant. We did hundreds, literally.I still have my DODGE COUNTRY sign hanging on our garage wall.Well, thats all that fits, keep on restoreing for the next generations!

Hi Guys,Thanks for the welcomes, much appreciated.will post pics soon as I can.Have ones of cars all together, individually and some of you might like the wedding pics from this past Sept I refered to,they are cool.I know all daughters are special to dad,but she was gorgeous and with the 70 it was truly a special time for me as she came home from the hospital in it as a baby.Found diaper pins under rear seat when I pulled it out in the 90's!
