4-Speed Lock Out Install
« on: August 05, 2012 - 05:18:38 PM »
Has anyone gone through this exercise?   I recently converted by 70 Challenger from automatic to 4 speed and acquired the lock out mechanism from a fellow e-body restorer.  I am looking to find out how this should be installed correctly.

Can anyone help?

Thanks .... CHAPS

it connects to a double sided pin on the reverse rod at the trans not the shifter then to a belcrank attached to the frame & bel & up to the column lever

I don't have pix , mine is missing the linkage & I probably wouldn't install it if I had ti , forces you to put it into reverse everytime you want the key out on a 4 spd car
