NOS hood pins?
« on: August 27, 2012 - 07:55:54 AM »
A friend stopped by and said he has had a set of hood pins that he got from a friend that worked at the factory a long time ago. How can I tell if they are correct or even NOS?  The clips face up, but I have old sales literature and even in it, it shows them both ways.  He also told me that he has no idea what they are worth and that I should make him an offer.  The lanyards are 23" long though, and I think my Challenger should have the 18" ones.

You are correct in that Challenger's have 18" lanyards.

Digging a little more, I found that Cuda's and B bodies use the 23" lanyards, and that Cuda's used flat washers and Challengers lock washers.  I am also concerned that the nuts are not stainless.  Since they see reproduction ones for $25 I think I will pass.
