Hello and something different for me
« on: August 26, 2012 - 10:02:34 PM »
Hi all,

I am delighted to join the group!  This is very different for me as I am a long-time Corvette owner, but a couple of weeks again, I took the plunge and purchased a 1971 Hemi 'Cuda clone.

The car has some history as it was a Car Craft magazine project car in 1998.  It started out life as a ’71 383 Cuda, it was built in 1998 as a Hemi clone in collaboration with Car Craft, Year One, Performance Suspension, Dick Landy and Ultimate Rides, all nicely chronicled in 4 issues of Car Craft.  While it is nice to have all the modifications documented, a number of changes (and deletions) have been made over the intervening 14 years.  So, Don (my gearhead husband who has just conveniently finished a 4+ year build on his 1969 Vette) and I are starting to educate ourselves and assess, clean, repair and otherwise fix up our new baby.

I am looking forward to opening my 'Vette-centric horizons to the new world of E-body cars!  Hello to everyone living in the San Jose, CA area.  Hope to see you around!

Best,
Cathy

Welcome Bluboi.

We have a couple of Corvett converts on here, so you are not alone.

I remeber that car from Car Craft, glad to see it is still around.

Welcome. That's a great find.

Thanks everyone!

OK, where can I find:

a 6-way manual adjustable driver's seat???

Need desperately due to a short and a tall driver in the family...

thanks,
Cathy
