Just remember, nothing costs more than a hundred dollars. Well, that way I don't need to get permission from the wife.

She monitors the bank activity several times a week, I have taught her well during my time in the service but She is the BOSS , this year and last she has loosened up the funds a bit for the Grancuda Project and just wants me to finish the car.

Id have to say the worst part is when the simplist thing to do takes a turn for the worst and you spend hours, if not days, working on something that should have only taken ten minutes.  Like removing the torsion bars, or bracking off a bolt in a hard to get to location.

Next, is the broken/skined knuclules........ :smilielol:

The least fun part for me personally is having to restore/replace parts that the previous owner told me were already restored or replaced.  I have had to basically re-do everything on the car except the engine.  I really regret not having taken the car to a qualified mechanic (vs. me) to thoroughly check out before purchasing it.  I've had to move past counting the dollars sunk into it, but on the plus side, I have the opportunity to restore this car exactly as I want it.

For me body/paint work is definitely the worst. It consumes the most time and is definitely a place where you cannot cut corners if you want the car to look right and last a long time. Plus it is a huge expense. I just got a quote for paint for the A66 Challenger and to do paint the car inside and out the materials alone were over $3,600 for quality stuff.

Paying more than you planned for body and paint and getting a sub par job.Having a senior and junior in High School, $8k is a lot of money.
I did not expect or want one of the shine like a mirror jobs but smooth and straight would have been nice. The painter does cars on the side, not as a profession. My car will be going back to him soon. When he repaired the driver side front fender,he did not match the contour for the headlight bezel. There are other issues I have found since.
Live and learn. Will enjoy the car for a while and get it repainted in about 5-10 years. Will do more homework next time.
