FOR SALE - 1970 DODGE CHARGER RTSE HEMI
« on: September 16, 2012 - 08:46:26 PM »
:22yikes:1970 Dodge Charger RT/SE(vin no: XS29ROG222766) Found: 9-12-12! 1 of 9 blt, 3 knwn survivors. All completely original! NO RUST whatsoever! Black on black, with rare vinyl top delete and Luggage rack. Automatic, with power steering and brakes, 15" rallye wheels and virtually brand new 70's era Tiger Paws installed in 1978 still on the car. Deluxe am/fm radio and SE leather & wood trim interior. It has not run or registered since 1979. Never raced or butchered. Orig. owner was a south-central Los angeles pimp who purchased car new at Hollywood Dodge, California, directly off the showroom floor as it was initially consigned by Dodge as promotion only for it's highest volume dealers. After close of model year dealers were allowed to sell the cars as they wished. The original owner placed an initial $2000. deposit in June 1970 for pickup in September. He paid cash! Rt frt damage occurred in 1973 and was repaired by dealer and 100% insurance coverage. As this car was only recently unearthed there has been no verification of authenticity, though obviously by the state of preservation and all original documentation it is completely real and original! Seller will verify by appraisal and Galen Govier authentication. The car needs and deserves only the very best restoration for $1 million+ car! Rarer than any 70-71 Hemi-cuda.
The car is located in the Los Angeles, beach cities area of sunny southern California, and 15 minutes from LAX. Opening minimum offers considered at $250,000.

Cool car and very rare.  Good luck with the sale!  IMO, I think the price is a wee bit optimistic.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Great car, but yeah, price is out of my range.  Is cool to hear the history of it.  ope you get what you're looking for!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I know a guy here in Canada, (Quebec province) that has one of the nine.  (He told me Chrysler made four???). His's is blue with a white vinyl roof. But it is a 1970 R/T-SE Hemi Charger. He bought it in 1972.  He also had a 1970 Hemi Challenger convertible, (A real one) that he sold to Otis Chandler a couple of  years ago.

Is that "HEMI" license plates for sale if they're the real deal?
God, I'd love to have those if they are.
