Pulleys Set Needed
« on: December 05, 2012 - 01:12:35 PM »
Im having a nightmare trying to figure out which pulley's I need to get...  My old ones are aluminum and they slip like crazy with the older v-belt style.  Has anyone here upgraded to a flat serpentine-style belt??
All I need is three pulleys for the crank (one groove), water pump and alternator.  I have no idea how I make sure everything will line up.  Can someone give me some heads up advice?

I have used serpentine type , Mancini would be the first place I would look , there are some companies that wil custom make pulleys as well

Those are some good sites! I hate the chrome pulleys they seem to slip more.
Also I have an underdrive set up on there now, a 5" crank pulley a 7" wp pulley and a 3" alternator pulley diameter. My car consistently runs at about 200-210 deg F, how much should I downsize the wp pulley to get it up to speed? Maybe a 6+" diameter swap?
