Rallye Dash for 71 |Cuda.
« on: October 05, 2012 - 09:57:55 AM »
I want to replace a few guages on my 71 Cuda which has a rallye dash and just wonder how hard it will be to get them out? Looking for instructions on how to remove the front woodgrain panel from the dash so I can access the guages!!
Just don't want to damage anything in the process.
Thanks

The gauges are actually installed from the back.  If you are replacing more than 1, you'll probably be better off pulling the whole thing.

This should help:

use one of them super small flat blade screwdriver like for eyeglasses when you remove the reset knobs on your panel! Also, take extra time removing your wires on your alternator gauge, don't force them off, just be real easy, sometimes these nuts are on so tight you could 'twist' the guage in the cluster & ruin it! I've seen too many wreaked. Just be careful when removing the whole works!
