Wiring Up Add-on Tach
« on: October 01, 2012 - 01:27:52 PM »
I'm installing a tach above the steering column and can't figure out the wiring.
I have the following:
RED
BLACK
GREEN
YELLOW
I can imagine red/ black are 12v and ground but the others?

Thanks

I have a VDO tach here. The green is the signal wire that would attach to the "-" side of the ignition coil.

I have a white wire that's for the light inside the tach.

Maybe your yellow wire is for the light?    :dunno:

Gotcha!
Actually, it is a WHITE wire and not yellow.
So I've got Red, black, green and white.

Thanks!!
