Well guys and gals its getting that time of year
« on: October 02, 2012 - 09:07:12 PM »
At least for us snow belt people. This coming weekend i plan to at three car shows friday nite, saturday and sunday. Theres still a few more shows and cruise-ins this month but i figure more than likely this will be it for the year as far as shows go for me. I just want to enjoy driving and cruising in the car before the white stuff comes

Yep -  I ran my car in Medicine Hat's last race of the year 3 weeks ago and Edmonton's last race last weekend. I am planning to add antifreeze this weekend and snow is forecasted here this evening and overnight. I am sure we will get another week or 2 of reasonable weather yet and I will probably get a couple more fall cruises in before I slide it against the garage wall for the winter.

Ya I put about 100 miles on my new drivetrain tonight. Went to a cruize nite in Newmarket , Ontario ...only 16 cars? The season is ending pretty quick! I'll drive mine up untill they salt the roads though. New heater core works great!  :grinyes:
Not much to do this winter project wise? It's gonna be a loooong winter?  :crying:

We're just now coming into good show weather.  During the summer it is too bloody hot to try to show cars.  That drip you hear isn't rain, it's the sweat that starts as soon as you walk outside of the house.  Hopefully, some of yo can make it down this way for some shows.  The Turkey Run (Thanksgiving show at Daytona) is hugely popular down here and generallystarts the weekend before at "Old Town' in Kissimmee.  Some shows have well over 700 cars.

Yes sad times . . . . I do think that Fall is a nice time of year but I really don't like it as I know that winter is coming soon after.  I can honestly say I did not do near enough with the cars this year . . . I did not go to one show.   :walkaway:  I typically go to at least 5 shows but things have been really busy this year and I just didn't get to any shows.  I did work on some issues with the cars and feel that they are getting close to dependable.  I have a few things I want to complete on the cars over the winter and my list is growing.  If we have a winter like last year . . . may get quite a few things done.

:pullinghair: I don't even want to here the S =SNOW word or the W= winter word yet.i'm not looking forward to that one bit...............

WHERE the heck did summer go already????

they say the upper midwest is supposed to really get hit with storms this year and be very very cold... :pullinghair:
i think were going to pay for it this year because of last year when we barely got any snow..........

well i might as well get my yamaha V-MAX 600 sled ready for it,carbs are all gummed up from bad fuel for sitting two years so i'm probably going to have to rebuild them.

same with the snow blower, gonna have to go through that carb also.forgot to put stay bill in either one....  :pullinghair:
Gods it's gonna be a LOOOOOONG winter, time to move to florida when i retire in possibly march........

My Cuda has only been actually on the road for about a month now. I do alot of local cruise-ins and car shows here and there and i've used the Dart this year and is no means a show kinda car but has done well. The Cuda has been to four total. But mostly i enjoy driving and cruising them as thats what they were made for. I don't own either of them for show poodles mainly enjoyment but i'm proud to show'em as well. Like Jeff said i plan to drive them till the first snow fall  I am somewhat looking forward to winter as there are a few things i still want to do to both cars that need attention but at the same time i hate to see it come :P At least if its gonna be cold i hope for lots of snow so i can make extra money snow plowing
