I have a new engine harness for my 70 and don't have (haven't seen) an electric choke wire. I looked at my father-in-laws 68 RR and he upgraded the car with an Edelbrock carb with an electric choke. His is connected to the alternator (blue I think) wire. I'd like to hook mine (later model thermoquad) to the same place since it's easy and close. I did a measurement and see that only one (green) of my wires was hot with the key but only had ~1.2v and not ~12. I suspect this is because of the ballast resistor.
My question, is this a good source? Is there a better one? What is the recommendation. It'd be nice not to have to run back to the fuse block.
Thanks again.
