challenger door panels.
« on: September 29, 2012 - 04:01:57 PM »
I have been out of the loop for a while, last I heard someone was in the process of making better reproduction door panels for Barracudas with Challenger panels to follow. Anyone have new information regarding colored Challenger door panels? I can live with my black ones for a while but I really want to get a nice new set of white panels so my cars interior will be correct. Thanks!

Metro made new door and rear quarters for the hard tops.  They are available in the more common colors

I think some board sponsors are Metro resellers and might offer a member discount.

As far as I know the reviews of them were very positive.

300 for a set of seat backs is not the end of the world but am I reading it correctly and each door panel is 600 bucks? 1200 for doors alone? good lord to do a whole interior would be insanely expensive.

It's $600 for a set...which does both doors...and I think another $600 for the rear interior panels.  I seem to remember they were being offered together for $1000 when they first came out.

thats much much better! A pillars? kick panels? so 1500 for doors, rear panels, seat backs, not too bad. Throw in the A pillars and kicks and I would be a happy man. My wife is not happy I am back on the Challenger tho, she just sees it as money gone. I guess she dont get a ride when its done hahahaha.

hahahahahahaaha.    You still doing the engine to right?    Amazing how plastic and cloth can cost as much as aluminum and steel , interior vs engine.

Yeah, its been raining here but I have my cherry picker and a 3 day weekend so I am gonna dig out the engine, pull the accessories and tear it down to see what the bore size is. it was rebuilt years ago and I am hoping they did not hog it out so it has a rebuild left in it. Sun is finally out and things are starting to dry up so I should be able to get some things done later tonight and tomorrow. I am thinking 440 source 470 stroker so far, things can change in a hurry though and I have to spend my money before the old lady finds a "better" place to spend it lol.

Just go with a crushed velvet interior, aka retro 70's and 80's all over again! Might be cheaper.
