New in Aus
« on: September 22, 2012 - 01:33:16 AM »
Been looking to buy a cuda for a little while and my friend who lives in edmonton sent me a link to this site.

Wish i had found this site sooner.

I am originally from the UK but moved to Oz 3 years ago. since moving over here started to get into muscle cars having been into VW's before. Plenty of mustangs and camaros but not too many of these.

Have an Oz muscle car, a torana SLR clone with a 355 motor which i am just finishing the restoration on but really fancy a cuda or an R/T challenger

I will be buying a car and this looks likes the best place to get one as i would rather buy from enthusiasts.

My Torana is at the engine shop about to be run up. I have a 4 door and a 2 door, the 2 door is just getting ready for paint. I am going to sell the 2 door so I can buy a cuda

Pics of my 4 door as it was a few months ago. Needs panels lining up. Windows, interior, electrics are all now in. Still needs brakes sorting and then a set of 15 x 8 wheels at the front and 15 x 10 on the rears fitted along with the drop tank

A couple of pics of how they look finished. I wont be putting all the stickers on mine

They kinda look like a combination of a Mercury  Capri, AMC Hornet, and a Chevy Monza all rolled into one?

I was thinking they looked GMish. Very cool, though.

They have a great racing pedigree, look up A9X, about the size of a MK2 ford escort. A lot of chevy engines going in them at present.

My will have a 355 motor making about 450hp when I eventually get it started

I have found a car but its not a Cuda. It a Superbee and have agreed to buy it

The car is in Folsom CA and was wondering if anyone lives locally or knows of the car.

I would be happy to pay your expenses if anyone would have the time to take a look at it. PM me if you can take a look and I will pass on the details

Steve,

You might want to start a new thread asking if there is anyone in that area to help you out.
There are many people here that are willing to check things out.

Welcome to the site Steve and good luck with your new aquisition! I thought Brad was familiar with Torana, since I thought he lived an hour north of it.  ;)
