72 bumper swap on 73, grille filler trim ?

Do I need to remove the lower filler piece on the grille when installing a 72 bumper and bracket,

73 440 Cuda'
915 heads (mild head work, stock bottom end 10/9:1 compression)
A518 2600-2800 Stall
4.10 rear gear
TTI headers with 3' exhaust with  X pipe 
comp XE274H cam
Hughes Roller Rockers
Holley Sniper EFI
Holley Street Dominator intake
MSD ignition

Yes is the answer . . . . The bumper should shoulder up to the grill itself.   :2thumbs:

I would say not too much as everyone wants to delete them instead of adding them.  I have one laying around as well . . . .

I've seen them sell for between 30.00 and 80.00. Just depends on the timing and who needs it.
I sold an extra one and had to ship it in a pvc pipe to keep it safe.
If I cant fix it, it's broke
