Henry arrived - better than Christmas !

Henry my new toy 35 pickup arrived. Came through Customs and Quarentine very quickly for a change  . Was loaded up with all the parts I had bought when I was in California, Chirstmas !  going through all the boxes of parts.. I even gained a 9" diff centre! Lucky I reconized the name on it..  Going through the truck now ..Pfft! you gotta ask yourself why??!! The things some people do! Wiring and brakelines hanging  etc ..Well off to work!

THAT is SO totally cool! No rust to deal with? (California?) pretty much get in and drive - or what? Very nice.

No .no rust to speak of. It is driveable I drove it from the freighting yard when I picked it up ..peak hour traffic too I might add , that was interesting  one other time to, sits on 55 ok . I am going through things now, greasing, tightening, adjusting etc. still some things I need to address before presenting it for licensing. My plates came through today as well. XXI 935  Its the best I could do.

Just curious, are the speed signs in MPH or KPH over in Australia? I would assume KPH?

KPH.. Metric system since about 1967 I think. However when it suits we use imperial.. Like "Yeah mate she'll do the ton" Meaning =' This vehicle will do 100 MPH'.. " nah we'll Take the 12 footer tinnie mate" Meaning = " we shall take out the 3.6 meter aluminium watercraft" or "Geez mate would have been 6 foot long barstard! " Meaning= the King Brown snake was somewhat a large one"

We got stuck with it around 1976 I think it was? I grew up with both "systems"  It depends on a persons age as to what system they relate to. I used to me a moldmaker/machinist for 25 years and my tools are in inches.
I would never change my speedo to KPH but it would be somewhat handy as almost every time I see a cop they turn around and follow me . I'm never sure if they are just eyeballing the car or waiting for me to go 1KPH an hour the speed limit so they can nail me?  I use a GPS set to KPH but its a pain in the butt.

That is one cool looking truck. I love those long chrome grills. Those things were a true work of art with the sweeping body lines, chrome and all the details! Nice score. You'll have to post up some more pictures!
