What have I got here?
« on: February 25, 2013 - 05:15:27 PM »
I got this power steering pump off ebay couple of months ago and I haven't had the time to look at it until now. I was hoping to get bolt on for my Hemi build. I wanted to get both the correct brackets and the correct cooler. Well you win some and lose some, guess I should have done my research better.

But what is this bracket for? And what about the cooler?

To make matters worse the pulley is bent and the shaft is loose. I can move the pulley (attached to the shaft) in and out about 1/4"-1/2". Is this a problem and if so, can it be fixed?

Thanks for your help!

looks likes something from the forties or fifties
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

Looks pretty much like i remember is on my 440 challenger.
Will have to unwrap the car and have a look though.
Mine doesn't have a cooler.

Edit - for that matter it looks the same as on my 72 Dart as well minus cooler.
Will check both.

PS coolers came on a lot of police models.
