extra parts, Your car is a NON ac and looks like you have both housings with an AC style dash,
the lower valance insert is for a 72-74, the 70 would be flat across with no lights,

Pics are of the night i unloaded it and basicly it sits that way today only packed onto shelfs and dusty. I dident know there was a vin number on dash but i kinda dought its orginal as the dash that came with it is a rallye dash and i dont think it would have had a rallye dash in it stock.

Site is not allowing me to upload pictures any trick to getting them posted?

Very possible it had a Rallye dash from the factory.Check the drivers side corner of the dash pad up by where the windshield would be  for the vin tag.Seeing as how your caus was not an a/c car and the dash is a/c equipped it may not be the origianl dash and if there is a vin tag it may not match.

Sounds like I'm missing some parts and have some extras as well. At the auction someone said they thought the car was once raced maybe that's why it was modified i cheeked vin though it is a 4 speed car though.

I was thinking about having it dipped instead of media blasting it any thoughts on that? Kinda sounds like consences is to fix it up I'm just not sure on first step haha. I'm also not good at body work I'm more of a mechanic.

There's no way to tell if it was originally a 4 speed unless you have the numbers matchig transmission, fender tag, or the build sheet.

Id be concerned about the vin tag. If that the only dash that came with the car then its likely that the original dash and vin are gone. Check the last six digits on the das the the numbers stamped on the body. They should be on the radiator support and on the cowl, above the wiper motor. I looked at a 72 challenger with that problem a few weeks ago. The body was an original 340 4 speed without a/c. The dash was for a/c and the body numbers didn't match the vin and title.

The firewall does have the hole for the 4 speed reverse light.I think it was a 4 speed car but the tunnel has been hack on.

definitly looks like you are set up for a great build. Now you just have to decide which way you want to go with it as far as if you want to keep the 340 or go bigger, color, etc. Looks like you started where some of us wish we were.
