Maybe every State is different in their laws.

I hit a deer last year in my 09 Challenger. I had to have the passenger's side fender replaced, along with the hood and grill and all the plastic pieces that support it.

My car looks as good as new, but I never had to get a salvage title.   :dunno:

This Challenger has a Salvage Title because it was totaled by the insurance company or traded in as is and the dealership sold it to auction. I deal with this stuff every day. Many times there are cars that have been totaled and all it needs is a door or glass, real minor stuff. It's all who your friends are.

With no aibag deployment and no frame damage, there is a strong possibility it could be a flood car.  There were 1,000's of them after katrina and there will be many more after Sandy, with this car, some guy could left the car in neutral and had it roll into a lake, and that would get you the rebuilt title.  I just looked at florida DMV regs and to be a rebuilt title there would have to havfe been damage at least 75% of the vehicles value, sounds like the dealer is giving you a load of BS

I posted the link to the car at auction above. No flood. Seller seems mostly honest about the damage. Cool to know that he payed just about 13K for it.

The whole front end had to be replaced. The seller stated just the door and fender were  replaced.I would not believe anything the seller has to say about this car.

Someone should contact the seller if possible and ASK them what happened to the car & don't tell him we have just seen the car damage photos. he won't know this and lets see how truthful the guy is. if he lies then flag him in case he comes here to sell a car. we would know he is probably lying about ANY thing he tries to sell, and if he IS truthful well then, he would be ok. Good to know the real facts before dealing with anyone. Glad you didn't buy the car only to find out this later.
