I found a story on a european 1970 Barracuda Gran Coupe.  It's nice to see it still on the road:

I thought it was interesting that it has a 318 column shift automatic AND a rallye gauge cluster.

What that on the door panel? Speaker? It's the same colour as the panel too?  Stock?

So the door panel speaker is a stock option? Learning something new, I never knew it was available. In the picture it sure blends in well/looks stock? :2thumbs:

There was no door panel speaker option.

Cars came with the following speaker configs:

Mono:
1 Speaker in the center of the dash
1 Speaker in the center of the dash, 1 rear speaker (drivers side)

Stereo:
3 Speakers in the dash (Center + Left and Right)
3 Speakers in the dash (Center + Left and Right) + 2 Rear speakers (driver and Passenger)

What is that on the top of the rear right seat panel.

Looks like some sort of interior dome/reading light the way it's positioned....  :dunno:

Very interesting car!  :grinyes:

It has the M31 belt moldings but where are they?  Are those the same as body side molding or is that the deal on the rockers?  :clueless:

It was a Show car, so it is possible some of those items were added for that purpose.  I would love to know!

The European version on Mopar from the 60's and 70's had extra options that the us cars didn't have. Mostely because of european car laws. Like a speedometer i KMPH rather them MPH. I've seen the door speaker on other Mopar's from the 70's, that are European versions. But i don't have any data on this. So i could be wrong

Mopar was the burger king of the day.

You could order a /6 with Rallye guages and a Dana 60 if you wanted....

This car has been repainted because the tail panel should be astrotone silver, which was standard on all Gran Coupes.  Also the 26" rad is interesting as this is a non A/C car. It should have a lowly 19" rad, this must be something to do with it being a Y09 export car to Europe. Does anyone know more about why this car came with a 26" rad? It is coded for it on the fender tag, but besides that, maybe it is a max cooling car?
The D31 is for automatic transmission.
