Video: Houston Autorama 2012
« on: November 25, 2012 - 03:06:24 PM »
The building was full of cars again but not nearly as many Mopars as last year.  I saw one e-body Cuda and Challenger each, and didn't get video of either that I liked.  Still plenty of cool cars.  My favorite display was a side-by-side pair of 70 Road Runners, both in orange.  One was a regular Runner and the other was a Superbird; sure shows how much longer the Superbird is.

Lots of nice rides in there!  I like the red wall stripe on the mustang. Looks like a hotwheels car. The orange stripes on the newer black Challenger is nice too. A few nice Chargers and love the RR and Superbird.

I went back and looked at my pics from 2011 and there were at least 14 e-bodies, 8 Challengers and 6 Cudas.  I was surprised to see so many last year and figured there would be less this year, but was expecting more than 2.  The B-bodies were well represented.  There were 3 or 4 A-body Cudas but no Dusters or Darts.

The black 65 Mustang with the red line tires was one of my favorites.  Not sure if you noticed, but they had several signs posted on the floor saying "Driven Daily".  That is best of both worlds.

I was in hopes that I would see the White 70 Hemi Cuda from that area.  I met the guy, whose dad bought it new, in Corpus Christi. Got to see some back in the day pics but would love to see what it looks like now, being restored!!
