727 shifting problem
« on: December 19, 2012 - 10:10:44 PM »
Well I got my Barracuda back from the body shop.  I had the drivers floor pan replaced.  Now, I can hardly shift the car out of park and/or into reverse.  It also slides through the gears without grabbing.  I don't know the names of minor car parts, so I'll need some pic's or responses spelled out for me.

It is a 1970 Barracuda with a 727 automatic.

Is there a common part that people steal?

Thank You,
Joe

Sounds like some linkages are out of whack when they replaced the pan.  Floor shift?

It sounds like the kickdown linkage got knocked off or removed. http://www.moparts.org/Tech/Archive/auto/35.html
