Honestly the cars that went through - especially the E-Bodies where decent with nothing over the top. The money spent on the cars that went through was about right in my book. Camaro's brought little - Mopars held good money and Mustangs brought great money.
HOWEVER - There was a Pro-Touring Chevelle there on Saturday that was just bad as heck....at 10 feet the car was absolutely stunning. Then in walking around the car, the lights in the arena killed it. The filled door lock holes (body work) where popping - just visible on both doors and a quarter size paint chuck was touched up on the fender. This car was clean and at one time had a very expensive paint job..... two years after, it was showing its age. The top bid was $56,000 by a phone bidder. The car looked got for TV - but I would have been torque if the car showed up with that type of problem.
It's still buyer beware though. I was in the staging area for the entire day on Saturday and I was amazed at the number of cars that the engines where junk, oil dripping, lights didn't work.....one cars brakes did not work. Auctions are risky.
