Question ?
« on: March 10, 2005 - 10:49:58 AM »
I am new to this Forum and I have a question. I own a 1970 Plymouth Cuda, it currently has a 340 4b, with a 4 speed pistol grip. The VIN on the car shows that the correct engine is a 383 4b, with the 4 speed pistol grip. Through investigating I have found out that there were 1905 - 383 4speed (hard top) Cudas built in 1970. The fender tag shows the color to be deep burnt orange (FK5). The question is How can I find out how many Cuda's out of the (1905) made with the specs above, came in the (FK5) color ????

Anybody ???

You can't really find a number...they just didn't keep track of that info.  I have seen, maybe it was from Galen G, that you could get an estimate by a % of cars being a certain color, but you'll never get an exact number. Sounds like you have an awesome car...a 70 big block Cuda, 4 speed!!!!  Forget numbers....you got it made!   :patriot:

BTW, welcome to the board!!  Now that you've teased us with this info...you gotta post some pics!   :grinyes:  :grinyes:

Thanks for the quick responses. I have owned the car since 1982. Fotunately, it has always been garaged. The car is currently primed black and I might paint it (again) this summer, we shall see. I will provide pics when I get a chance.

Thanks again......
