Turn signal cam only repalcement, will this work?
« on: November 14, 2012 - 03:23:29 PM »
Getting parts together to replace my broken turn signal cam, won't hold in up position but everything seems to work fine and wiring looks good.

From reading older posts here the Standard TW7 is the correct complete turn signal switch replacement, but the cheapest I've found it is $70 at Rock Auto. :-\

It appears Dorman sells just the cam that can be cut and soldered into the switch wiring under the can for much less.

Will this work?
How difficult is it to remove the old turn signal cam?

not hard to change , you do have to cut & solder the two wires , mixed results but worth a try

Didn't work for me, contacts are not reliable, I ended up just buying the complete harness & switch from Year One licensed Chrysler restoration part, works perfect now.

I had to file the contacts to get the dorman to work in the Charger and Challenger other than that a pretty straight forward swap
