Owned a 70 Challenger 440 6 pk automatic w dana rear and 4:10s back in the day.
Never had a car that pulled like that car did and push you back in the seat!
I feel really good for you: it is a great experience to own a car with that engine.
Would love to hear it run.

Ok... no video yet, but here's a few pics...

Going for a very correct look. Slowly but surely getting it together. I have breathers in place for break in, but a gutted factory PCV and a stock breather are going back on after. Also, starting to round up the NOS or repro hoses, etc. (Radiator is a re-cored original 26" from a big block 73 Charger)

Although headers are one part I couldn't justify going stock on.

I'm very proud of my interior. I re-did it myself a couple years back. It was very clean but 40 yrs old. EVERY part aside from the woodgrain dash, was refinished/re-dyed/re-painted. Down to the yellow springs in the seat tracks. :-)

In the end, this thing is gonna look like a factory '73 440-6... had it been made.  But run much better. :-)

And that's what it is... You know the car is heavy as hell, but at the same time that frickin' motor just pulls it like it's nothing. It's not only acceleration, but breathless acceleration of a large amount of mass.

Raw Big Block torque. Gotta love it.
