I tried, but was not successful, didn't do any cutting or bending, just didn't look like it was going to work.   I ended up just getting TTIs.  The passenger side would have gone in without a fight though.

The cast iron truck manifold works on the drivers side, but directs it into the firewall on the pass. side, as 71 bigblock said.   I had a complete exhaust system setup for headers already, so with TTis I can reuse that at least and offset some of the cost.

I just moved back to Texas last week so, I haven't gotten back to it.  I should have it on the road in a couple of months though....

tti's look nice but i don't know if I can justify the price.  It looks like the cast grand cherokee ones from the 5.7 would work but I really dont know how well they flow as the collector size is alot smaller than the car ones.

On the regular SRT manifolds the steering shaft needs to be moved and the torsion bars are right in the center of the exhaust pipe.

I don't know how differant the jeep SRT manifolds are from the regular SRT's. Sorry

I have a set if your interested.  I think they will work, but nothing is going to be easy.  I think I'm going to have to pull the motor just to get the TTIs in too.  If I had a metal shop, I would have definately used the Cherokee SRT's, they are really sweet.

Thanks for the offer but I just bought a set about a month ago.  I have not had a chance to see what I will need to do but I think I will be able to get them to work.

They clear fine on the pass side, but you'll need some cutting and bending kinda like I showed in the pic, and then you'll have to pound some clearance for the steering shaft, but I think you can make it work.

I even tried it with the stock manifolds, they fit, but i thing the pass side dumps straight into the firewall.  Those were from a truck, and I bet one from cherokee would probably work, but I didn't look into it, I knew I wanted some kind of headers  for it.  I'm just shocked that one of the major header companies hasn't stepped up to bend a set for much cheaper.

Well I guess I shouldn't be that suprised, you can still hardly get a set of headers (other than TTI) that won't drag the ground.

We are using them on acurrent build but we have the RMS Kmember.  We also groung the flanges and welded a Vband clamp for more clearance.
Thank You
