You bring up some great points.  I'm all for having the mods do it.  The mods on this site are about the best mods ever!  (where's my brown nose smiley?)

I think a Hall of Fame is a great idea!  I was a forum moderator & admin on a diecast car collectors site for a few years and we had a Hall of Fame.  We didn't have any black and white criteria.  It was up to the moderators and admin staff to nominate and agree on who was to be 'inducted'.  One of us would nominate someone who we thought should be inducted, we'd have a discussion and the decision would be made.  Usually the discussion went - 'I thought they were already in the HoF' or 'Absolutely, why haven't we thought of him before!!!'.  There are those who are deserving of the honor and they stand out and are usually pretty easy picks.

We decided not to do a public vote just incase someone was nominated and didn't get voted in.  Puts lots of people in a bad situation.

We stayed away from post counts becuase there are those that didn't really contribute or had nothing of value to share but had high post counts.  I could have a through the roof post count if I replied 'Cool' or 'Neat-O' to every thread, which is what some of those members did.

We trusted our gut feelings and worked out very well for us.

Chryco has definitely been the most helpful with tech info. I think the guy that's been the most helpful with the biggest heart is Moparal!!  :2thumbs:

Put me in for Neil to.  He has always been there for anyone when they needed help.  He would even be there quicker for you, in person, if you lived in a warm area    Here's to Neil  a great person to know

There is a large list of member that deserve credit!  Alot are very helpful and would go out of their way to help a member they have never met.  Here are a few that come to mind:

Oldschool
Chryco
CODY
69ChargerRT
MEK Dangerfield
Moparal
Topcat
Brads70
BIGSHCLUNK
Rusty /SE
Moparclown
Shelbydog
Viperboy

and the list goes on!  Please don't be offended if I did not list you as I would be typing all day!  This was just off the top of my head.

What we have here is a mutual appreciation society.   :)

Have to add 4Cruizn to the top of that list.

So lets get some basic history about Neil (where he grew up, how he got in to Mopars, his first Mopar, and things like that), a photo of him and start the Hall of Fame.  It would be nice if there was a section of quotes or neat stories from others on how Neil has changed their lives for the better.

My favorite quote is "I don't know how to drive an automatic".

I can just say his method of setting timing worked for me.
