Does any one know if any other mopar radio will fit a 70 challenger, without modifications? Or a aftermarket?

This should give you an idea of what to look for.

I have seen an early 70's model C-body AM/FM in a 70-Barracuda, looked ok but as I understand it the locating pins and mounting had to be modified. By '74 the radios were bigger. I speculate a pickup from the early to mid 70's may work with modifications. More info

Any new Single DIN sized head unit will work although some may have a problem clearing the lower trim...This is what I did

If looks are paramount there is an excellent/pricey option.

A great option is

. These radios look original including am/fm light but have the modern guts including 1/8 jack, rca out, subwoofer support and four speaker output. I have put a few of them in and they work great. You can order with the correct knobs for your application which is the chrome ones.
