how much lighter are street weight panels over steel? and who makes good doors and guards in glass
cheers, Mat

I'm sure it vareis from Mfg to Mfg, but at least a few pounds per part. The lighter weight also makes them more prone to vibrational and heat damage.

Not that I've ever seen. The fiberglass doors lack the inner structure and reinforcement to support all the weight of the mechanism, guides, and glass. I'm sure you could add it in, but at that point you would be adding so much to them that the weight savings would be reduced or the maintanence of the tolerances in the parts due to flex would produce binds, breaks, or other issues.
