So today is cold and frozen. I figured I would decode the fender tag and see if I could find the broadcast sheet in the car. When i checked under the driver front seat I could see 2 little pieces on the floor about the size of a dime. I pulled the seat out and was disappointed to see 3 dime size pieces left in the seat springs. Oh well. So on to the fender tag. It appears this car is correct with all the options intact and installed with the exception of 3. It doesn't have the fender mount turn signals, the engine is a 340, not a 318 and colour is supposed to be egg shell white, not red. Kinda weird I thought having all the rallye pkg and only a 318.

On another note, is it possible to have a reissued data tag, reason I ask, this car has some rust. The fender tag is raw steel, with no signs of rust, just some moisture rust colour because it is raw steel, but no pitting.   :dunno:

So this is the first time I had a chance to really go through the car since I got it. I had my body/welder guy look at the car today and he said its a go with what I have planned. Also I was wrong when I said the int. was new. Rear seats have the original covering and it looks like the fronts do too. Also the dash is original and so is the console. Only new item is the poorly done carpet.

Lots of work so updates and progress will be slow. Ill have lots of pics of the progress.

This is the last pic of the car together in one piece for now.

Welome to the site Powerram...........Looks like a good start eventhough you have found some issues......Check the back seat back for build sheets too.  And if the dash is orig....behind the glove box.  Just maybe.....Keep us up to date........as you go, I am well aware that you will find more to do than expected, but it will be worth it......Later.......David..................check out my build site.......  http://www.papadaveonline.com/index.html  .  I found more than I expected too.......... :working: :working:
