clearance issues with shaker

i'm trying to get my shaker from six pack performance to fit but it seems my combo is way to tall. motor is a smallblock, performer intake with an adapter to run a thermoquad. i removed the adapter and just let the carb sit on my intake and it's still to tall. i think the holleys are shorter but i really like this carb. do i have to switch to a stock intake to run the thermoquad carb?

even though carbs are manufactured but a number of different companies somewhere along the line they all agreed on 3.5" tall , the best fix would be a 71 - 85 or so 360 4 bbl intake with the spreadbore carb pattern / base

Thanks chryco. Am i going to see a power loss with one of these intakes? Do you know approximately how much height difference there is between the two intakes?

not sure on the height but I would guess around 1.5" taller with the RPM assuming that is what you have . yes you will see a power loss to But the factoryintakes are one of the better intakes available for the small block
