    I need quarter skins and trunk extensions for my 74 Chally. Can you guys tell me who you were happy with/not happy with as far as price, quality of skins, cost to ship ect. Did I hear correctly that Goodmark makes the skins and other dealers buy them to sell on their sites?

    Yes Goodmark Industries is making fuill OE style replacement quarter panels for challengers and to the best of my knowledge every one buys from them and resells them  :burnout:

    I have used quarter skins and trunk extensions from The Paddock and was very satisfied with them.

    Just got a left rear quarter repair panel, the one that fits from the rear of the wheel to the bumper. I got it from Year One and it looks very good and it was cheaper than Paddock by quite a bit. Paddock dings the heck out of you for the shipping but their product is about the same quality.

    I recently bought two quarter panel skins from Year One and had great difficulty with the match up at the lower valance panel.  At first I thought that some prior body work (ie. bondo) had produced a curve to the valance panel that would not allow the quater panel line up.  I stripped the valance panel and found this not to be true. After trying to work the panel to the valance I decided it was just more than I bargained for with these quarter panels.

    I bought a pair of Goodmark Industries full factory repro quarter skins and found that the alignment was perfect. 

    Now I have the two skins from Year One that I need to try and salvage some money from to the tune of about $500.00. 

    If you are very good at making body panels strtch than you may wish to go with the Year One quarters, if not I would check out the Goodmark Industries ones.

    Rhamson, that's what I've heard about the full aftermarket skins, the creases and seams don't line up right, the patch panel isn't perfect but it will do, it's no where near the work as the full quarter would be. Unfortunatly no one makes a oem style patch panel, you'd have to buy the entire quarter to get what you need. I believe the patch panels are worth it if you aren't in the need for the entire quarter. The Paddock wheel well to the bumper patch was 120.00 to my door and the Year One was only 84.00 for a nicer piece IMO.

    Thanks for the info everyone. I ended up checking the Goodmark site. I found a distributor in Wisconsin (Browns of Two River) I bought quarter skins  and trunk extensions. Prices were cheaper than Year One and Paddock and shipping was only 23.00 dollars. Yes 23.00. They shipped via Spee Dee courier not truck freight. (There about 180 miles from me if I remeber correctly) Year One and Paddock shipping was 150 to 180.

    Hi JHMoparnut,
      I got my right side quarter skin from Brown's of Two Rivers also. They're about 65 miles North
    of me. Seem like nice people and now I guess they got a big newer place west of Two Rivers.
    The skin should work fine for me but I think the new Goodmark full quarters coming out for
    Cudas later this year will be really nice but 3 or 4 times the price$.  Jeff

    Wow, the place I was going to post has been mentioned twice already.  I too purchased mine through Browns-of-Two Rivers.  They are probably the cheapest suppliers of Goodmark sheetmetal and they were the closest at just 2 hours away.  I wasn't really happy with the quality of them nor was my bodyman, but after some extra effort he was able to make them fit nicely.  I have yet to see how well the rear valance lines up with them, since I haven't found a nice one yet, so I still fear it'll look like junk.  The problem with ordering the repop. skins is that Goodmark, Inc. doesn't actually produce these ones in their warehouses.  They order them pre-formed by some brand X supplier, hence their quality control issues.  Here are some photos of the process my '73 went through.  I figure it cost me around $1,500 per quarter.  I wish they had the full quarters available back when I bought mine. :banghead:

    Looks like its coming along nicely, from the pictures you wouldn't know they were repops. Hope it works out for you, that's a bunch of money if they don't work.
