Rear seat interchangeable?
« on: March 31, 2013 - 07:16:41 PM »
Hey all,
I found some guy local to me on Craigslist selling the rear seats out of a '73 challenger for $225. I know the pattern and style of upholstery is different, but is the frame the same as a '70? Would it fit properly or not?

Yep it'll fit. It's just the pattern difference. The rear package tray and under seat pans never changed for e bodies. I have a 70 challenger seat frame in my Cuda. The covers are different, frame is the same.

That seems a bit high for a back seat. I bought a great 70 challenger seat in white at mopar nats for $100 or so, no rips or cuts. Where are you located? I have an extra back seat.

Well I would switch out the foam and upholstery so it would be '70 correct. I mostly just need the frame. It just seems that frames are hard to come by. And I am in the Southern California area, Orange County.

I understand, I just hate to see you pay too much for something like that. You just missed mopars at the strip in Las Vegas last week. I bet you could have bought one there for a fair price.
