After Market Radiator Mounts??
« on: April 26, 2013 - 10:22:35 AM »
I was given a griffen radiator for my 74 Cuda by a friend. Its 26" long by 19" wide but did not come with mounting brackets. I am trying to figure out how to mount this radiator in my car. I have a 68 440 with a 4 speed and am planning on using electric fans for cooling. Can anyone give me some ideas how to mount this radiator either by after market brackets or some thing I can make on my own. Thanks!!

Picture?  YOu probably have to weld on some brackets.

I would think Griffin, BeCool, Summit, etc. would have brackets.  Check out Jegs or Summit.

Alum rads are always mounted in rubber mounts from the factory , alum will not withstand twisting so I would recommend mounting this way as well , I hit the wreckers looking for U shaped brakets that can be bolted or welded to hold the rad , upper older Ford truck mounts often work well
