As you know, I've been away from the hobby for a while and I'm now looking to get back in. I'm looking around, seeing what's out there and getting a feel for where the market is now. Sticker shock is one of the things I'm feeling right now. You need a serious pile of beans to play in this hobby now. So much so where it almost makes financial sense to, I almost dare not say it, switch allegiances to "brand X" cause you can get a really nice ride for a less beans. Of course I want to stay with the Pentastar so I'm not there yet, I'm just saying.
So I have some money saved up but I'm thinking I may need more. So after searching this board for threads on financing I found and almost thought about resurrecting this thread:
http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=21042.msg208494#msg208494 cause there was some good info in there but it was six years old. So I'm looking for some updated information. I don't know how you guys acquired your cars but some of you I'm sure financed them somehow. Not all of you could have bought your cars back when they were cheap and held on to them all these years or are so well healed that you just pay cash! So the old aforementioned thread refers to JJ Best and Hagerty as companies to check on for classic car financing - are there any others that you guys have used and are satisfied with? I would appreciate any and all inputs and insights on this subject so I can use what you guys have learned and use it to make an informed decision. Thank you in advance for your time and attention to this subject and I look forward to hearing from you guys.
