Strange Engineering Shocks
« on: April 06, 2013 - 05:50:21 PM »
I'm referring to the shocks not coilovers.
Had anyone had any experience with these?
They appear to be a standard hydraulic design (not gas charged), and I am assuming a mono tube??

Not a cheap item at about $150 a piece they offer easy adjustability, lightweight, rebuildable but I'm not sure if the performance actually matches the price tag ???

I'd be really keen to hear what others have heard or tried............

I have always thought that hydraulic shocks are better than gas ones. Hydraulic ride better as well as they control rebound better. Gas ones fire a wheel into the pothole faster which gives a harsher ride but yes, they don't heat up as much under race conditions.
