Fuel pump
« on: April 10, 2013 - 06:19:45 PM »

I'm having a problem reinstalling my fuel pump.
Someone told me I Should remove the hex Nut below the Fuel pump, then I would be able to install the pump.
Is that correct? What exactly is that hex nut?

I assume you have a big block?

To remove the hex nut, you will need a large Allen wrench. (I'm sorry, I forget what size).

The pushrod will then fall out. Just use some grease on the pushrod end to hold it up in there, and you can get the fuel pump in.

Do I push the rod up through the hole that  I removed the hexnut from?
Can I use a Screwdriver to push it up?
Also thanks for your help!

no need to remove that hex plug, coat the rod in grease and push it up with your fingers
