Those Russian built "LADA's" were sold in Canada back in the day.  If I remember correctly they were very cheap to buy and were made from multiple car manufacturers all over Europe.  Maybe 3% of the car was actually Russian.  Great photo by the way.

The Lada was built in Russia in the plant that Fiat built for them and is basically a Fiat 128. They were both ugly as sin, but the Russkie version could take the cold weather a bit better. Rotted like a Fiat, mind you, but if you had a Model T tool kit, you could fix most anything on it. They established a presence here the same way Hyundai did- build a cheap, cheap car and you'll sell them, period and look where Hyundai is now!

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
